Strategies 2 Success – Marketplace Empowerment
On June 21, 2014, Fertile Ground Consulting partnered with Mayor David Webb Jr., and The City of Markham presented a one-day seminar called “Strategies 2 Success – Marketplace Empowerment 2014.” This power packed one-day event was designed to “Position participants to Prosper” through “Strategies to Success” in every area of their lives.
Additionally, the events design was to provide small business owners and entrepreneurs from the City of Markham and the surrounding Southland Regional areas, the motivation and training to be successful in building; expanding and re-positioning their current business strategies. A team of presenters coached in areas of faith, personal health, balancing marriage/family with work, as well as improving health, business, education, etc. As this is intended to be a “holistic” event where no one area will be missed, sessions for youth will include Strategies 2 Success in school; in spite of bullying; job readiness and financial literacy. Attendees were motivated and educated by professional, well known masters in their fields, followed opportunities for interaction with a Question and Answer Panel with the speakers.
Pamela Hutcherson, “The Marketplace Coach” lived in Markham for more than 25 years. As she has witnessed the City of Markham take monumental steps to ensure its economic success, she believes that this event displayed the city’s commitment to its residents which in turn helped to “Motivate and Empower” its residents to continue to buy, live and build in this great city and the Southland Region.
This event was launched in 2013 in Flossmoor, IL, and later went national to Alabama with Shirley Murdock as the keynote Speaker with more than 125 plus registrants, the event was a success with businesses and the community.
