The look on my face when people listen to folks that have NO Purpose, tell them about their purpose.

Your journey is not for everyone to understand or agree with. When God gives you a vision, carry it out until it manifests. When God gives you a dream, work to bring it to fruition. Surround yourself with people who believe in you. Surround yourself with people who will push you an hold you accountable.

You are the average of the five people that you spend the most time with. Make sure that you’re spending time with people who are in line with what you want out of life. Invest in people and hang around folks that will invest in and push you.

The Moral of this Story is to “Finish Strong” Close your ears to the naysayers and BUILD.

Don’t Look Back

Are you tired of feeling as if your life is going in circles? Up one minute and Down the next? Have you surveyed the hindrances or perceived barriers to accomplishing your goals?

Have you ever thought to yourself “It Must Be More To Life Than This” or “I feel like I’m Just Going Along to Get Along”

Here’s what I’ve learned. Many of us aren’t progressing towards promise because we are afraid. My short and summarized word for you today is: Do it and Don’t look back….

The problem with many is: (1) You’re afraid to do it (2) You keep looking back… Don’t lag behind.. (See: Gen 19:15-26). Lots wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt. Could it have been her fear of what she was leaving behind for a future unknown to her? Could she have been compelled to leave but so tied to the life and way that she’d always known? Can you find yourself in this scenario? You’ve been given direction but you are unsure of what will unfold. Beloved, trust God. Let Him lead the way. Lean not unto your own understanding and watch Him direct your path. Whatever your “rear-view” mirror is. (family, location, vocation, education, relationships).. When God says go – by all means Go and Don’t look back. Stop looking for the approval and commission of those who have no clear direction for their own lives.

Fear is designed to distract and delay. Don’t be distracted, you have no time for delays.

Transition – Grace – Favor – 2015

Transition – Grace – Favor

Happy New Year Folks… YES – I know we’re well into January and I’m just finding the time to reach out and wish you a Happy New Year. But, there have been sooo many wonderful, awesome and magnificent things going on that I wanted to wait and reach out once all the happenings began to settle.

As we continue on into this New Year, there are 3 distinct words that I hear the Lord saying. (1) Transition (2) Grace (3) Favor.

Here’s the deal.

Transition – Many of you are in a period of transition. Transition will have a similar meaning for some and a totally different meaning for others. Transition of location, jobs, education, friendships, networks, duties, roles, and responsibilities. I see a great shift that is upon the body of Christ as God is setting pace and order in the Kingdom for His mandate, precepts and agenda to be carried out. For some, this transition will appear unsettling because while you can sense that this is God’s doing, it’s a place of unbalance as you continue trying to gain greater understanding from the place of your flesh. As you dig deeper into the spirit, you’ll begin to see God’s plans and purposes unfold. God says, seek my face, have faith that this is by My will and you shall see the outworking and its purpose in days to come. Isaiah 55:8-9 (ESV) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Grace – God says there is great grace upon you in this season to operate at full capacity. To whom much is given that much more and then some is required. God says for many of you more is required. You will orchestrate from many realms and from several spheres says God and even as you orchestrate from these places, know that My Hand is upon you and I have granted the Grace (flexibility, time, strength. & fortitude) to complete all.

Favor – God says promotion does not come from the East or the West but from above. In this season you will see doors open that are impossible unto man. Know that these are My doors and you shall surely walk through in this season. As you enter the door know that you are required to reach back and strengthen your brother. This door will allow you to dominate and orchestrate from your mountain of influence and even as you do so, know that the door is not solely for you, but for the many that will come to be saved and learn more of me. Strengthen, aide, and assist your brother says God. Philippians 2:4 (ESV) Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

In closing, I’m excited about what God is doing. I literally just finished my dissertation and have been given the nod to defend it within the next few weeks. It’s Already Done.. My God is awesome – more on that later.

You’ll hear more from me in the coming months, as we are full speed ahead preparing for our “Strategies 2 Success” tour this year in Chicago and Birmingham.

It’s Time To Reassess

It’s Time To Reassess

Hey there.. It’s been a few weeks and I wanted to reach out to see how things are going for you and yours.

Hear This – So, I’m penning this newsletter from the sauna. Yes, the sauna. I’ve been soooooo busy. Faith, Family, Fitness. Finances. To have balance and be FRUITFUL in all of those areas, you have to first be FUELED!!! You see many people run themselves ragged until they literally despise the area in which they are called. You begin to think you somehow missed it. You haven’t missed it, you need to recharge, reflect and reinvest in your call. You can then refocus and get your PASSION back.

I took a month off and began to reflect on areas in my life that needed fine-tuning. I spent some time in Alabama and connected with friends and family. While there, there were times when I felt like I was still busying myself when I had committed to relax. I’m back in Chicago now and have two weeks before I’m actively re-engaged in “ALL” things.

What am I saying to you? We’re closing out July, the 7th month. What are you committed to completing in the next few days? What areas need to be closed or completed before months end? Also, as we enter August, enter refreshed and focused on that which you are called to and none other. Yes ma’am, I said it. Commit to nothing else but that which you are called too, lest you find yourself moving counter-productive to the goal/vision/dream because you’re focusing on those things that you are NOT called to.

Get To Work

It’s been a busy two weeks. We just came off of an awesome event on June 21st where we partnered with the City of Markham and Mayor David Webb, Jr.. We had a knowledgable team on hand to impart into the participants “Strategies 2 Success” in many area of their lives. Our keynote speaker at the event, was none other than Yolanda “YoYo” Whitaker. You may remember her as Hip Hop Female Pioneer “YoYo’ or for her work on the television show “Martin.” Yolanda played “Keylolo”, the sidekick of none other than “Sheneneh.” She has a host of other projects that she has been involved in and continues to pave the way for other females in Arts & Entertainment. It was a pleasure to meet her and hear her story on “Success” and her heart on her involvement with the youth. To all who came out, THANKS.

As we close the month of June, I wanted to be sure to send you out a note that would prepare you for this next season. Many of you have dreams that are hidden inside of you. Words that have been spoken that have yet to manifest. I come to tell you this is your season. — Walk It Out. No mumbling, no grumbling, He’s preparing you for Greater. Stop shedding tears, see the bigger picture – THIS IS YOUR TRAINING GROUND. Get up and Work.

You have Work to do and it’s time to get involved in the work. WHY you may ask? Because there is someone else that has need of you. Of your time, your gift and your talent. Who are you investing in? What work have you undertaken? Don’t Get Weary in THE WORK. To Whom Much is Given – That Much More and Then Some is REQUIRED….

John 10:10 tells us that: The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. But our God, has come to give you life and life more abundantly. Someone else is tied to your “More Abundantly.”

Take a moment to scan your life. What’s going on? What’s Good? What’s Bad? In All Things – Give Thanks….. Let me say it AGAIN – He’s preparing you for GREATER. Stop shedding tears, see the bigger picture – THIS IS YOUR TRAINING GROUND. Get up and Work.

In closing – this wasn’t intended to be a long message. It was intended to put matters into perspective. Get busy and don’t quit. Place yourself around others that speak life into you and you reciprocate. Earlier this year God showed me that this was a year of Rehoboth (Gen 26:22). You’ve been toiling and digging to no avail. God says to praise Him in the midst of it all and watch this next “well” spring forth a Blessing that you will not have room enough to receive it. Invest in the life of another. Someone is watching you. Someone needs you. If you allow the enemy to get you to focus on the problem, you’ll never make it to the promise. GET UP and GET TO WORK…

The Weight of the Weight

Can you handle your assignment?

Many of us have God given visions and dreams that have yet to manifest. And even those that have manifested are not fully developed due to a myriad of complexities. I come to you today to ask, “Can you handle the weight of the weight?” Can you handle your assignment? Can you handle what it would take to get you from where you are to where you are destined to be?

By weight, I mean the very thing that God has called you to. He designed it specifically for you, but where you are now, where you find your self today, I ask – can you handle it?

Not just in your job, or via your academic path, but many live in fragmented homes, charred with smoldering wood pieces of divorce, financial issues, issues in your health, etc. Many of these issues, the enemy would use to keep you from your destined place. If the enemy can get you to focus more on looking good externally, than your internal home, you’ll live a life of being dressed up on the outside but messed up internally. If he can get your focus off of eating healthy, balanced meal portions, then he can lure you into the trap of obesity, too tired to care for your family or your home, too worn-out and exhausted to make it to the gym. Once lured there, its quite possible to become entrapped with a diagnosis of hypertension or diabetes, ailments that have trampled your bloodline for years only for you to succumb to the same. “Can you handle The Weight of the Weight?”

If he can get you in your business, not to write the business plan, not to take the step to launching out in faith and trusting in HIM, you’ll always be left with “What If”…

So my question to you today is: Can you handle the Weight of the Weight?

Various Fields – Many are called to various places. You may find yourself in Senior Management in Corporate America, an Entrepreneur, marriage, single parenthood, educator, attending school or a combination of them all. The questions are – Do you know where you are assigned to be? Can you handle what it takes to get there and to keep yourself there until the next season? I believe that you can. God would not have given you the vision, the idea, the ability if you weren’t able to handle it. However, many times we need a bit of a nudge or assistance in getting there.

Trust God in this season and cast your cares on Him. Have a quiet resolve that He knows exactly where you are and what it will take to get you to where you need to be. Seek Him for the assignment on your life, knowing that everyone is assigned not to the same but according to his or her own ability. I look forward to hearing testimonies on the manifestation of greatness and fulfillment in your life. Know that we are in a season of instruction and direction. As you hear Him provide instruction, move accordingly.

Now —- So, where do you find yourself today? It’s Friday, so most are happy to just be off of work and have the weekend to themselves. But come Monday, many will find themselves in a melancholy state because their on their way to work but not on their WAY TO PURPOSE. Hear me now: We are in our season of Rehoboth (See: Gen 26:22). God is bringing those that have toiled, served, plowed, etc., into a place of reaping what has been sown. Many wells have been dug, but this next well (place of faith and trust in God) shall spring forth. No quarrelling, no more arguing, just a broad and fruitful land. My God…

DOORS are Open For ACCESS to ALL that have been inquiring of God. These OPEN Doors require more faith, more fire and more fervency. They require you to step out inFAITH. They require you to reach back and pull someone else along. They require you to be your brother’s and your sister’s keeper.
