Penning Your Promise

Strategies 2 Success - IL 2013

Hi there

Just dropping in with a thought that came across my mind. As we embark on 2017, I’d like to ask how many of you journal? I mentioned a few posts ago that I took some time away from posting intentionally. However, that time away never kept me from posting privately. As I thought about what I was doing right, what needed to change and what I needed to do next, many of my reflections came from journaling. For the purposes of this post, I’ll call it “Penning the Promise.”

Studies show that penning your thoughts help with your direction.

Among a few, penning also helps with:

(1) Clarity of thoughts and feelings
(2) Identifying growth or areas of need
(3) Problem-Solving
(4) Achieving Your Goals

If you haven’t already, I recommend journaling your thoughts and experiences at least once or twice a week. If that’s too much, try once a month. Methods that have helped me in the past are having my journal close to my night-stand. That helps as a reminder to frequently release any thoughts that I may have. Setting a reminder on your phone or calendar may also help.

As we move into 2017 – journaling and penning your thoughts will be key to your success.
